Luz de Luna began it’s life as a home and therapy centre and has evolved as a Centre of Spiritual guidance over the past five years. It is now growing into a place of learning and development to help those who are psychic and mediumistic, and wish to further their knowledge in this way. What is the difference between being Spiritual and being a Spiritualist? Spiritual is different things to different people. However, broadly, to me it is leading your life with more awareness, being honest and sincere, knowing that there is something bigger than everything, a Source of all life. Spiritualists are, again in the broadest sense, people who believe in a continued existence after death, and that people who have passed on into the spirit-world can and do communicate with us. Mediums work in this way. The simple answer is to try! A surprising amount of people do not consider themselves to have insight, but so many times we hear “Oh, I just had a hunch” or “I just felt that would happen”, “I knew you were going to call me” – words which are uttered often, and simply shrugged off as ‘coincidences’. However, we are all able to work on a psychic level to a lesser or greater degree and it is the discovery on what level you are working that is so enriching and exciting, and then furthering your knowledge and experience When first encountering mediumship it can be as basic as the above, or hearing a tune, the smell of a certain flower, “seeing “a child – just simple snapshots in your mind and senses. “Seeing” Spirit, clairvoyance, is not necessarily, seeing someone in front of you, it often takes place in the mind in the form of pictures and information. Some people “hear” clearly, clairaudience, as though a person is talking to them normally but others again “hear” the information in their minds. Then a lot of people “sense” things, clairsentience. So we work in different ways with different gifts. We work both spiritually and mediumistically here, filling the whole centre with loving energy, and with gentle encouragement, we can help awaken that intuitive part of ourselves to discover an amazing ability that has always been there. Barbara has been working as an holistic therapist for over 15 years. Then followed a year’s course for Aromatherapy, Indian Head massage and later Hypnotherapy. She feels that having a wide range of therapies enables her to try different approaches to enable clients to receive the best for them. In recent years she has also followed her heart with Mediumship and runs development classes and runs and hosts workshops, not only for mediumship but for courses she feels may interest others. She owns and runs this centre using her unique ability as a therapist and her special skills as a teacher to heal and encourage those who come to her. "I began my journey into Spiritualism several years ago when my husband passed over. At that time I had been a therapist for over 10 years, always feeling connected to the Angelic realm; always feeling they were a permanent part of my life. At times, whilst giving a treatment to a client, I would “receive” bits of information; I tended to keep these to myself, feeling unsure as to what I was receiving, and whether it would mean anything to that person. Then one day I decided to offer it to the client, and was surprised that each time I did, the majority of people understood and identified with the information I gave them. In fact, the frequency of this was so great that I realised this was not a ‘coincidence’, and that what I was receiving was in fact a form of contact from people who had passed into the spirit world, and who wanted to contact the person in my care. And so I began to trust, and my ability became stronger and stronger as my trust and confidence grew. In the beginning, when this was all rather new to mel, I visited Stansted College, a major Spiritualist centre in the UK, on a week’s course to explore what was happening in my life. I left thinking “Hmm, interesting, but I am not sure that mediumship is for me”. Obviously Spirit had other plans! I attended more workshops and seminars, always in the UK as I could find nothing in Spain to help enable me to grow mediumistically, to awaken what was already there within me, and to help me to trust in myself and my abilities. I now run my own development circle, and organise and facilitate workshops at this Centre, helping others to delight in the pleasure and love of discovering the world of Spirit beings This is the most loving and exciting journey I have undertaken so far and I hope you will visit the Centre one day to travel it too." |
